A-37 – “Dragonfly” (Mustang High Flight Aerobatics)
TThe Cessna A-37B Dragonfly, affectionately known as the “Super Tweet,” is a compact yet powerful light attack aircraft. This remarkable machine stands as a testament to tactical air support and counterinsurgency warfare. This particular aircraft is proudly presented by Mustang High Flight Aerobatics.
Mark began flying at the age of six in a Piper Cherokee Arrow with his father, Ed, a B-24 Liberator pilot during World War II. After returning to civilian life, Ed found ways to keep aviation a part of both his business and personal life, allowing Mark to grow up fully immersed in the world of aviation.
Mark soloed at age 16 and earned his private pilot’s license at 17. He has since flown more than 40 different types of aircraft and accumulated over 7,000 hours of flight time.
Owning and flying classic warbirds like the P-51 Mustang, A-37 Dragonfly, and Dornier Alpha Jet has been a lifelong dream for Mark. Like many kids with a passion for aviation, he built model planes and dreamed of flying warbirds one day. In November 2005, that dream became a reality when he acquired a P-51 Mustang. Since then, he has logged over 1,800 hours in warbirds, deepening his respect and admiration for these historic aircraft.
As Mark often reflects, you never truly “own” a Mustang or any warbird, you are simply fortunate enough to care for it for the next generation. Flying a P-51 is like flying a national monument, requiring great care and unwavering dedication.
Mark has taken this responsibility to heart, caring for these aircraft with the honor and commitment they deserve.
